... often we cannot truly understand without experience....till we must raise our own, the way seems simple.Tis even worse than that. We've raised three, they're all doing well... youngest of the three is twelve. Along comes the fourth, and we love him, but sometimes don't like him, and feel guilty. So there's a decade or so between the memories of the last one before the last one...and even having experienced, we've forgotten.Forgotten that there were times when we didn't like the others.Forgotten when they frustrated us so by just being a three year old.Forgotten the battles over teaching them respect, kindness... being politeAnd so we feel guilty at what we find in our heartstowards our fourth. After a long discussion and rememberance last night,we've decided that our dislike is equal to the pastand not a consequenceof adoption. So perhaps experience is as faulty as evidenceas any of the rest of it.-1A
