[ Quite the opposite. Most liberals were horrified to watch as Bush the Lesser took us from surplus to deficit in record time ]

"Then you should be half out of your mind by what's happened during Owebama's watch, but you're not. Hypocrite."

Actually, I am quite alarmed at the debt level, but I don't think the sky is falling. The difference is that I believe much of the spending under Obama was necessary, while most of the spending under Bush the Lesser was not. I also believe that much of the spending under Obama has at least the potential for a positive net return in the long run, while very little of Bush the Lessers' does.

What the spending is spent ON makes a difference. Taking that into consideration, Bush's spending caused (and continues to cause) a lot more damage than Obama's will. Ultimately, Obama's spending will be, I believe, contributory to the net value of America, Inc.

Bush's won't.
