I have a confession. I have been in Florida for 9 days but am currentlly at the Orlando Int'l. Airport using their free wireless, as I am awaiting the departing plane.

I must apologize to my florida TMF Dis colleagues for not having posted the opportunity to hook up with the T'ster while in town.

My trip began with an Alamo car to Apopka, a little town N.W. of Orlando. Hooked up with a buddy that I hand't seen in 22 years, and we drove down to Ft. Meyers, to see anothger buddy that we both hadn't seen for decades.

Dudes, and dude-ettes, it was smokin' hot in Ft. Meyers. 93 degrees and sunny. Spent a few days there, then came back and went fishing and saw a bald eagle in the lake, not far above my head. Now, I've lived "up north" my whole life were eagles supposdedly do roost but I have only seen one in my whgole life in the wild up there (Wisconsin). Wierdly, it was while I was with the same buddy I was fishing with.

Went to Kennedy, think I saw an aligator or two plunk their heads below the water. 40 bucks to get in, which I had no idea about, I thought you were suppose to just drive by and look at the launchpad from your car. I didn't get there until about 1pm so then I had to do everything there was to do, between then and 5:30. Pretty much managed to do it though, with a few minor exceptions.

It's been rainy and cloudy where I live for months. I have gotten more sun in 9 days in Florida that I do in two years where I live. It literally makes me want to cry, to get on this plane and leave.

This is my 4th trip to Florida but my first without going to a Disney park. Pretty bummed about that, but I have my reasons (this was a loner trip except for my buddies that I hooked up with, who are not Disney fans).

Oh well, they are going to be boarding in about 10 minutes so more later.
