1.) Good photosTheir agent cut corners by taking the photos. The photos made the house look like a small dark dungeon. The photos were just pain bad: dark, reflections, glare, not level, etc... Improved photos have been posted, but the damage is done. I had to drill this into my mom's head when she was selling her house, and she actually fired an agent partially because the poor snap-shot-quality photos were so bad (and showed an agent not willing to put much effort into their job).Most people nowadays look at homes online before actually going in person to see a house. On top of that, most people have probably seen at least 1 home TV show or leafed through a home design magazine, so when you see that professional-level of home styling, your expectations are increased.My mom ended up going with a younger agent who hired a professional photographer to take the photos, and they came out great. Some PhotoShopping was probably done to make them look brighter - but the thing is if people saw the photos but then toured the house on a cloudy day, they would remember from the photos what the house looked liked on "sunny" days.
