That's how many cases they sold of Charles Shaw through Trader Joe's last month. They expect to continue at that pace for quite some time. There is a huge backlog of bulk wine to get rid of and it might last for years. Even Wine Spectator is writing about it: http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Main/Feature_Basic_Template/0,1197,1586,00.htmlWhen I was up there last, I mentioned that I saw a bunch of Two Buck Chuck's (aka Charles Shaw) wannabes up at TJ's. I will do a full taste report in a few days. The French brand is Denis Marchais. Of the two wines I have had, Syrah and Cabernet, they were both well worth the $2.99/bottle. The Syrah was more in the Australian flavor. Huge gobs of fruit. The Cabernet was also very good. It is much better than the Chuck Shaw, with a lot of varietal flavor and actually seemed to have some depth. I think I might buy a bunch of this wine...
