1. We'd talked about the Zoo on our first walking around day in Cairns so if we can stay up, we'll try it at night.

2. DW is the planner. She's spent countless hours using FF miles for the airplanes and hotels. She is tremendously impressed with folks from Australia. The hotel folks as well as tour operators have been wonderfully responsive via telephone and email. It's MUCH better than what we get in the states IMO.

We also had neighbors who were in Australia about six months ago -- all on tours. We've stolen a lot of their best ideas -- for less. We also are impressed and use Trip Advisor.

I've told the story about one of DWs MANY pre-nupts being that SHE plan the vacations. Mine include some relaxation, and THAT ain't happened for 33 years. She's worth it!

3. My time will come in Melbourne. DW will be an international "expert" for five days and I'll be Bob "she couldn't do better than THAT" Hockeypop. That's why that Melbourne planning is still thin.
