1poorlady uses whole milk for it. Supposedly it produces a better result. Commercial yogurt is sometimes done with part-skim, I believe, but I don't know what they have to do to make it work right. That's where the "reduced" fat or "lite" yogurts come from.(Sorry for the reply delay...I remember reading this message, but I don't remember replying. And my "replies to your posts" section has been really full lately, so I'm way behind on those.)
