Well my wife and I are finally coming to terms with our overspending and credit debt (35k). We are hoping to by a house next summer so we have started cutting way back on our spending. Our problem was always eating out on the weekends and during the week. Well we can say that in the last month we have eaten out 3 times total on the weekends... down from about 5 meals a weekend... We maybe go out once a week for lunch now... we have cut the cable down to basic, gone to only cell phones, and don't go to the malls unless we absolutely have to. I think October we will really see the benefits of our budgeting finally coming around.

My worry is our CC companies will double the minimum and htat will kill us being able to snowball our payments. Also I called one of the companies and told them I wanted the rate lowered or I was moving the account and they said too bad you aren't eligible. What other ways are there?
We are hoping to start balance transferring to take advanatage of 3.99% rates and then systematically pay down the others. Is this probably the best way?

I've really enjoyed reading the posts out here!
