It's been two years since my operation and I wasn't so sure in the beginning that I would survive all this stuff and/or ever feel normal again. Everyone I knew personally who went through this kind of operation were ALL telling me they were back on their feet in six weeks, and one is a commercial airline pilot who was flying again in six weeks. At six weeks I was so miserable and in pain that I didn't think I would ever feel good again.

It took me six months to start feeling as normal as I was gonna, but at least I finally hit a level that I could live with.

Two years later and it's not all bad, but I still have days when I feel purty lousy from all the meds and whatnot. But this Heat & Humidity really does a serious number on me! Last week's normal weather was a blessing. :-)

I'm grateful that I survived the operation and am derned lucky that I have such a wonderful wife who endured this event with me. It was a rough road for both of us, but we've gotten through the bad stuff and now have a beautiful home and property to share with each other.

And we're both extremely lucky to have such wonderful friends, both Online and Off, who've supported us and helped Linda deal with the emotional aspect of all we've been through.

And, we bought a spiral-sliced ham to celebrate. :-)

Thank You to Everyone who helped us get through this difficult episode in our lives!!

Bill
