It's been two years since my operation and I wasn't so sure in the beginning that I would survive all this stuff and/or ever feel normal again. Everyone I knew personally who went through this kind of operation were ALL telling me they were back on their feet in six weeks, and one is a commercial airline pilot who was flying again in six weeks. At six weeks I was so miserable and in pain that I didn't think I would ever feel good again.

It took me six months to start feeling as normal as I was gonna, but at least I finally hit a level that I could live with.

Two years later and it's not all bad, but I still have days when I feel purty lousy from all the meds and whatnot. But this Heat & Humidity really does a serious number on me! Last week's normal weather was a blessing. :-)

I'm grateful that I survived the operation and am derned lucky that I have such a wonderful wife who endured this event with me. It was a rough road for both of us, but we've gotten through the bad stuff and now have a beautiful home and property to share with each other.

And we're both extremely lucky to have such wonderful friends, both Online and Off, who've supported us and helped Linda deal with the emotional aspect of all we've been through.

And, we bought a spiral-sliced ham to celebrate. :-)

Thank You to Everyone who helped us get through this difficult episode in our lives!!

Hey "Ole Cool Beans"

Thank you for the cross post on the HWTSC board where I usually hang out. You have really been an inspiration for me and I am sure many other regulars on the TMF boards. Your unselfishness, cheery attitude (even during the tough times) and unlimited helpfulness as well as "going the extra mile" to help out so many of us with our computer problems which can not be repaid with a simple thank you.

I am privileged and blessed to have a special friend like you in my life Bill even though it be a online relationship. Wishing you Good Health, Happiness, Peace and God Bless to you and your family my dear friend.

Sincerely,

Rich

Bill,

You have had the opportunity which many of us seldom have, the chance to see how important you are to so many people, what you mean to them and what they mean to you.

You are a very special friend....

I didn't even know that you had an operation with lingering consequences, Bill. But now that I do, it's very good to hear that much of your recovery is pretty much behind you!!

Best regards,
Bob - Pass me some of that ham!! <g>
