http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-15&ta...this is what Congress is now pushing...."Amends the Internal Revenue Code to impose a value added tax of 5% on each sale of property, performance of services, and importation of property in the United States by a taxable person in a commercial-type transaction. Sets forth exceptions, including for food, housing, medical care, exports, interest, governmental entities, and certain tax-exempt organizations.Establishes the National Health Care Trust Fund and appropriates to it amounts equal to the revenue received by the Treasury from such tax. "The libs thought it would be free...ha ha...Right..they won't pay for it in income taxes..>They'll pay when they buy gas, when they buy anything that isn't food (diapers, paper products) , newspapers, magazines, haircuts, college tuition, a car (used or new), furniture, a house, and everything else they 'buy'. LIkely on utilities and services. Natioanl 5% VAT - like a sales tax...to help pay for the health care, plus, I'm sure, if you make over $32,000 a year for a family of four, you'll have to 'buy' your insurance as well. The 5% VAT just pays for the 20 million who 'can't afford' health insurance. Everyone else will have to pony up money to BUY a policy. And everyone, by HR15 must buy a policy, even if subsidized by the gov't.STay tuned....the libs are rabid....and going to pass something like this.Right..>Obama won't raise your income taxes....but he never said anything about NOT adding a new tax to pay for health care!t.
