After struggling for years, starting a family, building a house, we finally decided to invest in retirement and college funds. Days before e trade. We attended a seminar on investing sponsored by Paine Weber. We signed up had our own investment broker. Zero coupon bonds were his thing so he bought in told us stock were to risky for our profile. hey 9 percent was not bad for 30 years. But soon enough he sold the bonds for big profit bought Disney and apple. we were flying high.years later Disney dipped he sold all bought more apple. then apple crashed he sold at 18. he told us he had 3 stocks that would make us rich. world com, cell pro, advanced tissue. Those companies all went bankrupt. All we had left was a few under performing stocks. It took me 8 years to even consider investing again and then a market crash. Now I am am trying again 20 years after we lost it all. This time I am making the calls.
