3 words -- LOSE THE LOSER

Being financially responsible is an attitude and a way of life, it is not about how big someone's income is. And just because someone gets a PHD does not guarantee that they will ever in their lifetime get a job. There are many homeless geniuses and many uneducated wealthy people. The difference is not brains. It is hard work and responsible spending habits.

It does not appear that your boyfriend possesses either of these qualities. I do not believe you should marry for money. But, by finding a mate that has the same attitudes toward money that you do can save you alot of arguing.
