Shipments to be Made in Second Half of 2009

HAMDEN, Conn., April 28, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TransAct Technologies Incorporated (NasdaqGM:TACT - News), a global leader in market-specific printers for transaction-based industries, today announced that the Company has received a $3.6 million purchase order from its largest lottery customer for its thermal lottery printers. The shipment of printers will begin in the middle of the third quarter of 2009, with the majority of printers to be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2009.
