Hey Fools,Wow, this board has been nearly dead for a long time, kind of like people's interests in optical networking technology.I thought I'd see if there is any interest in discussing 40G optical transport technology.Nortel is out there claiming to have the only "coherent receiver" and has demonstrated some pretty impressive PMD and CD compensation in the electronic domain over AT&T's crappiest fiber in the ground. I don't remember the specifics. Other guys are out there with 40G, but nobody seems to have as differentiated of a story compared to NT. So question is .... how big is the 40G market? Is there any clear leader at this point? Who's gonna make money from it and what stocks are going to go up?Thoughts?
