Is an index trust the same as a fund? I'm having a 27 yr old dilemna as to how I want to allocate my funds.

An index trust may or may not be the same as an index fund. You will have to read the fine print of the paperwork you received on the trust. If its a fund, you should be able to check it out on Morningstar or Valueline available at Quicken via Excite.com.
