I am about to change jobs and am having trouble getting info about my 401k. I want to leave the money in the current plan (this is ok) but I am told if I do this my only choices down the road to take the money out are to retire at 59 1/2 or take the big penalties for early distribution. Is this true? What if I decide in a year or two I want a Rollover IRA? Or want to move it to my new companies 401k?

Also I am being told by the company I have only 30 days to decide what to do, is this right?
