Morning Folks!

Hope this is the right place to post this.

At my last job (which ended Friday) I discovered that my company with all of 3 employees had made an exception to the 401k matching and allowed the boss' boyfriend to start participation and matching right away instead of having to wait 6 months as I did. Is this legal? I stumbled across a letter to our payroll company that said the exception was being made as it was part of his initial employment negotiations.

I'm not really going to do anything with the information other than keep it in my back pocket if I need it.
