I'm now retired and have my retirement funds in a Bank's Securities Investment Dept. I have not been pleased with the outcome of their suggestions for investments. I now depend on these funds for a portion of income. I'd like to earn enough not to withdraw any principle which would be approx. 8%. I've had these funds invested in common stocks, mutual funds and bonds over the last ten years. The first 3 years I incresed my portfolio by 20% each year, but the last 6 years I have lost 50%!
Any Suggeestions for a come back?
