I recently changed jobs. Can I put my 401k from my previous employer into an IRA, without any kind of tax hit or penalty? I looked through the IRS booklet (590), but it doesn't explicitly address 401k's. I also looked through the IRA and 401k guides on the Fool to no avail. Everything seems to imply that this is possible, but I haven't seen anything clear and concrete. Can anyone help?
