Looking through IRS publication 571, it shows the maximum I can have deducted from my paychecks for my 403b as $10,000. I see no mention of the "or 25% of pay, whichever is less" that I've seen on this board.

Am I missing something?

For 403b's, the max is 20% or $10,000 which ever is less.

For year 2000, the 403b limitation is $10,500 I believe.
