I have been involved in 403B(7) program at my school for the last 20 years and have been recently ask to sit on a committee to re-evaluate our program. I have read that, due to some relatively recent legislation, schools are not limited to 403B accounts but can now legally offer 401Ks. Although the fees may be higher in 401ks... the option of including individual securities looks good to some. Am I totally out to lunch. Reading the tax code gives me a head ache.
