Does anyone else out there own, or at least follow, Donaldson? It's never seemed remarkably cheap to me, except a few years ago after a drop when I got a small position. It jumped up quickly and it never seemed cheap enough for me to buy more of... but never so overpriced that I wanted to sell it. It's been a nice, sleepy, growing stock, paying its 1% or so dividend, occupying a small niche place in my portfolio, for two years or so..

.. then BAM! They blow expectations out of the water. EPS comes in at $0.43/sh when analysts expected $0.29. Guidance for 2007 was increased to $1.72-$1.82/sh.. compare to analyst expectations of $1.68. Still, an almost 16% jump in stock price from boring old DCI? I suppose it's a nice offset from the unexpected 7% haircut that just-as-boring 3M endured recently..
