I am 54 years old and just found this discussion board. Really very helpful. I am thinking of getting out of the rat race at 56 rather than 60 like I had always planned. I've got a feeling that those extra 4 years may help me health wise in the long term. Less stress, more exercise and more time to prepare meals instead of buying fast food on the run. More time for family and friends. There's plenty to do in Santa Barbara. One need never be bored. I could even work part time and invest that money. Anyway, there are a lot of things for me to figure out. There's more to life than a full time job and being at someone's beck and call 40 hours plus.
