Using 2016 LEAPS is certainly a good idea, but sadly they will not be made available to investors until this fall. The 2015 are currently the best route for beginning a trade now.

Fight that urge to buy to close those August $80 calls. Right now there is still about $1.90 of time value you'll be paying to buy those calls back, that's expensive.

I said my farewells to my SSW shares yesterday fully expecting someone out there to snag the dividend. I was quite surprised to see the shares in my account still this morning.

The present $.30 of time value should be plenty to keep our (I'm in the same spot) positions safe in the near term.

Right now the investors who own that same call that we sold would be far better off over the next few weeks

Nothing wrong with buying to close those puts, most here have done that exact move in similar situations. You've likely captured 90+% of the premium paid to you, hard to argue with closing it early.

I agree with your interpretation. I've been watching a few different places regarding that ex-date and have slowly gotten comfortable with that same thesis: No April/May ex-date this year. I was a semi-believer in no dividend this

I'm in a similar spot with a June $33 puts $34 calls strangle/straddle.

I've been watching for the ex-date, but none declared yet that I can find, so we're likely OK for a little while. Their last three spring ex-dates have
