Is anyone else looking forward to Reiner Knizia's Blue Moon? This appears to be an attempt at a non-collectible CCG. Different sets will be released, but no rare cards. I suppose if anyone can pull it off, it would be Reiner.

Perhaps this will turn out to be a relatively inexpensive Magic-type game that doesn't give an advantage to whoever can afford to pay more for more powerful cards.

The Blue Moon base game contains all you need to begin: two peoples sets (the Vulca and the Hoax); a game board depicting Blue Moon city; plus three special dragon figures and full rules. Two additional individual peoples sets (the Mimix and the Flit) will be released alongside the base game. More peoples sets and some special sets will be available throughout 2004-5. You can play any two peoples against each other - or indeed customise the decks you use for greater variety.

Blue Moon is a non-collectable card game - there are no rare cards.
