In the past 64 years, 57.5 million net jobs were created when a Democrat was president. In the same period, 36.2 million jobs were created when a Republican was president.
Keep in mind, during those 64 years, Republicans held the Presidency for 36 years and Democrats for 28 years.
8 fewer years, 21 million more net jobs.
That isn't an accident. Democrats have a different philosophy (share the wealth) than the Republicans (trickle down).
In fact, during Clinton's 8 years in office, more net jobs were produced than during the entire Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. years combined!
Is Obama's responsible for ensuring that the environment is good for job creation? Yes, he is the president. He gets credit for the good and blame for the bad. That's the way it is. I believe that Obama's policies are helping in the process of turning this ship around and I have no doubt that his final record will be a great one.
