My experience with a self directed IRA is that the trustee will not permit reinvestment of the dividends into the stocks that provide them. Other IRA trustees may. I can of course accumulate the dividends in a Money Market acct and reinvest them that way but then I incur a transfer fee ($20).
Check out your IRA trustee.
