The company I work for (Applied Materials) lets us actively
manage our 401k accounts. There are restrictions on trading
into and out of AMAT (our Nasdaq stock symbol) at quarter end until 3 days after the earnings announcement, but other
than that you can do it daily (all transactions are
effective at end of day).
Our 401k is through Fidelity and offers 9 mutual founds
plus company stock.
