Boy, can I identify with the 'trust IRA' question! I'm a bit older than the questioner, but I have the same anxiety! I can remember when the 1st republican apostle, Ron, started taxing 50% of Social Security and taking away many of our tax deductions and limiting the others so any deductibility is minimal. Then Bill followed up by raising Social Security taxes to 85% I can also remember that the 1st IRA contributions were tax deductible! Now, our trusted representatives (the only native american criminal class) in D.C. want us to roll-over our IRA's into a device (and pay taxes for the privilage), they say will not be taxed in the future! How many times can we be rolled? |
