I think you should find out why any one would put inquiries in on you for a year.

1. Theyshouldn't have been able to check your credit without permission. Did they have your permission? If they didn't have your permission, you can get the credit bureaus to remove the inquiries.

2. If you decide to do something major, i.e. a new house, new car, rehab your house etc. You could very easily be turned for too many inquires. I have had this happen to me.
