mdebar: Rule of Thumb for 403b limits is - 20% of pay or $10,000/year, whichever is less is the cap for annual contributions. There are some "catch-up provisions" for people with 10+ years of service... About your "fellowship" income - I'm not sure if that's included as earned income. PP
