I am in the process of investing a lump sum distribution for my recently retired Dad. I have invested in the following companies to date: DELL SUNW INTC BUD MAT. He also has 1/4 of IRA in rolled over LG (Laclede Gas) utility stock. I have confidence in all of these companies long term outlooks. I don't want to load up to much in the same sectors though. Can anyone suggest other companies that would compliment this portfolio? I am also looking at MSFT currently but this is another Tech. and I don't want to be to heavily weighted there. I would appreciate any ideas and reasoning behind them. I will research any suggested companies fully before making any moves. My personal portfolio is full of tech but I am 36 and don't feel that the heavy concentration is a problem.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
