It's a CD alternative. Can you get a 30 day CD yielding 5.75%? That would be the distribution rate if the current distribution rate were reduced by the amount of the currently waived fees. With the benefit of the current waiver the distribution rate is 6.86%. The benefit of this vehicle is a reasonable after-expense yield with low volatility and high liquidity. That's all it's intended to do. If the yield to me is superior to other options, then expenses become somewhat secondary. Howeverm I'm always on the lookout for a better alternative. Does anyone know of one? Criteria: (1) higher yield than Cypress Tree (2) comparable risk profile (3) high liquidity--30 day redemption availability (4) low minimum investment: $5,000 (5) no sales charge (6) inflation protection Regards--dharmadollars |
