... I have held a mutual fund for some time... I made an initial investment, then just let the dividends and CGs be reinvested. Of course, I was getting 1099s each year... Now, if I want to sell the shares, how do I figure out my basis price? (Or in other words, how do I figure out how much I have to pay tax on?)

The basic idea is:
   your initial investment
+ all the reinvested distributions
--------------------------------
= your cost basis
Hope this helps!(?)
