Just put in for a month off in June/July...you should have seen the look on my boss's face!
From a biological perspective, we have been evolutionarily selected to be an aggressive, striving species that is able to survive; NOT self-actualized content and happy individuals. Considering Mankind's' circumstances up until the last 50 or years, that type of "genetic programming" makes sense. You are not going to survive long enough to have progeny unless you do what is necessary to survive in an inhospitable environment.
Suddenly, that equation has changed. Essentially all of us could work 20 hours a week and get along fine…although we might have to spend more time on the Living below Your Means board. It is no longer a struggle to survive, so now you have to make choices
--> What kind of life do I want to live?
Hopefully, this discussion helps us with that question.
