Can anyone recommend someone that is reputable in Northern NJ that can finish and do some repairs to hardwood floors?
I recently bought a house in Queens. The person we got to do our floors is based (I think) in Staten Island. He was recommended to us by friends whose apartment in Manhattan he worked on, so he apparently covers a wide geographical range.
Not only did his workers do a superb job, but his prices ($1.25/sq. ft. + extra for stairs & repairs) were significantly lower than any of the three other bids I got. I don't know if he works in N.J., but you may want to give him a call:
Tully Spagnoli & Son Ltd.
(He's very busy and scheduling was hard, but in the end he did the work on time and I was very happy with the outcome. Oh, also, he's not much into niceties and salesmanship -- e.g. he can be a little brusque.)
