How did you cover the floor during the five days (when the painters did the work)?
The painters used drop cloths, and they cleaned up any spills while they were still wet.
What wood did you have on stairs. I do not like carpet. What are my options?
As far as I know, my floors, including the stairs, are the original wood (from when the house was built). The stairs are each single pieces of oak.
I don't have experience installing floors, so I couldn't tell you what your options are. I'm sure plenty of others on this board will have suggestions.
