Subject:  Are IRA's Different? Date:  3/19/2000  12:03 PM

Dear Folks,

Lots of very helpful advice being provided here and I'm most grateful to have found this message board and the great contributors on it. I wonder if anyone might know the answer to my small question.

Here it is...

I've been told by my bank (Citibank), where I have my IRA - which is entirely invested in individual equities/stocks, that I cannot arrange for predetermined "stop loss" or "program trades" in my IRA (they couldn't say why and are looking into the reason).

My question is: Is this true? And if so, why is this?

Any help would be most appreciated.
