EditorialWe. Difficult to advise without more info. As a rule of thumb, I consider Roth's to make most sense if you have at least 10 yrs before you'll need the money. Also once your original $ triples, you're ahead on an after tax basis of a regular IRA. Plus since you're currently in the lowest tax bracket now, you could be avoiding a future withdrawal in a higher, more costly tax bracket. There's not a 10% penalty in converting which is another plus on your path to a healthy future of tax free earnings.
