I have no Credit history as I came to US 3 months back. But I am paying apartment rent and car loan monthly. Will this be added to my credit history.
Apartment - Nope. Car Loan - Maybe. If you've got a loan through a large bank or finance corporation, it will probably show up. If you're paying the dealer, or a smaller institution, it may not. With no credit, I'm guessing you're paying an outrageous rate on your loan, maybe even at one of those 'pay by the week' type of places, which generally don't report.
are there any credit unions which give credit cards for people with no credit history. I live in Dallas,TX
Try Community Credit Union. I moved from Dallas to Richmond, and I still bank there. Their field of membership is pretty generous, so if you qualify anywhere, you'll probably qualify there.
When you go in to open the accounts, be sure you explain to the rep exactly what you're trying to do, and why. I've found them to be extremely helpful, even when trying to do odd things by telephone from a thousand miles away.
