There's lot's of folks making money on their investments. In fact, most people do.
Success in investing, to me, is defined by measureably superior performance (beat market averages, peers) over periods of time measured in decades. Quite possibly, the mantra of "buy good companies at reasonable prices" is not the only way to do it. Even though it makes incredible sense to me, and perhaps others, the difficulty lies in execution.
I welcome all other views.
