I was given a job offer in Oct 99. I was not working at that time. My employer filed for my work visa, H1, on Jan 7, 2000. While I was waiting for the Visa to be approved, I joined classes in C++ and Visual Basic in the local community college. These got over on March 21. I started working for my employer as of May 15, 2000. The classes were taken to help me add to my existing skill-set, though I have not yet used Visual Basic till now.
The school has sent me a form indicating I was atleast a half-time student, but the amount of money I spent is not mentioned.
I am only aware of Lifetime Learning and HOPE credits. Which ones can I claim, and upto what amounts?
I had also taken classes in Oracle in Dec 99 which ended on Jan 4, 2000. I paid for them in Dec 99, but have not claimed any credit for them yet. Can I do so now? Do I need any document from that school?
