I'm sure that there are lots of people better qualified than I am to answer your questions, but here goes:
"You're kidding me....35% of you would put all your eggs in one basket???"
If you call 500 of the largest companies in the world "one basket" then yeah. I am sure you are aware, as an aggregete, the S&P500 has outperformed almost every other investment over the long run. Unless you know for sure the next Microsoft (and if you do, please email it so I can get in on it). For the 80% (or more) of people who don't want to put in the hard work necessary to MAYBE better the 500 Index, it is simple effective way to participate in the market.
"And does anyone know what a Variable Annuity is???"
I think it is a way to help your "advisor" retire before you do. Anyone?
