It seems that all the advise out there today is don't sell, don't get out, stay for the long term, the market will recover.
I have two elderly in-laws (83yrs +) who are in mutual funds and have, as all of us, seen a 15 - 35% reduction in their retirement funding. As my father-in-law tells me, "find me something for the short-term, because my long term is probably less than 5 years."
He dislikes CDs for various reasons.
Any suggestions for short-term, low to moderate risk, investments that are accessible if they need the money for health care or general living expenses?
