BUT...I had Witness twins this year. A large family, low-income. And the kids participated in the Government Free and Reduced-Price Lunch program. Well, I never said anything to the family, but that really just sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Can't have a sucker with a flag on it, but, hey - let me at those free lunches!! I'd be interested in knowing what the board's thoughts are.... Honestly freed, I think the two are unrelated. I think that based on their beliefs, they couldn't eat the sucker, but based on their income, they can't afford full-priced lunches. But thank you for sharing, and please don't let people scare you away from it in the future. |
