I was suprised by this - in the past (about 2 years ago) I had updated my address with the three main CRAs and I didn't get this. But I moved about 2 months ago - had problems getting a check card 'cause the (new) address I wrote down didn't synch with the CRs address that they had on me. So I sent in a copy of my new DL and SS card to the three CRAs and EACH one sent me a new credit report! Now you *should* always report your new address to the CRAs, but now there is an additional bonus - you get a free CR ;-) Jennifer Good mornin' Jennifer - Appreciate your sharing your input - You've made me aware of yet another benefit of being a charter member of The Fool. Um, have you noticed that only the intelligent, well informed are posting since the chaff was reduced? Wunerful, wunerful. Happy Holidays, Lenniebabe |
