I was wondering if I were to start funding an IRA with the VTSMX fund whether or not and how one can sell their funds for another one. I would like to perhaps invest in this fund for 30 years (I'm 24, hoping to retire a bit early) and if possible sell my assets to purchase a target retirment fund. Can one sell funds/stocks within an IRA without having to pay taxes? Thanks.
