91 4runner Sweet! This is my list more or less in order, and what happened to them... 69 Chevy Impala station wagon (dunno what I did with it) 78 or 79 Pacer (cursed it on someone else. Don't ever buy a Pacer.) 74 Plymouth Gran Fury (retired cop car, sold to a buddy) 84 Toyota Tercel (threw a rod) 89?? Chevy Geo (those little 3-cylinder jobbies, rolled it on a patch of black ice, totalled it) 90 Toyota Corolla (sold at 240K to a mechanic, who exports them to brazil for taxicabs) 84 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl. (couldn't get out of its own way. Sold to a biker dude, then I moved so he couldn't hunt me down. LOL) == and my current list ==== 95 Chevy Astro. 205K miles and going strong, a radiator leak notwithstanding. 98 Toyota RAV4. Rebuilt engine @ stealership, engine died and was replaced, then tranny went, then my wife hit a deer. Still "going" at 178K miles. 91 4Runner. Semi-daily driver. Badly in need of a tuneup. Bought last year with 160K on it, at 172K now. It's my offroad machine too. And my daughter's ride, which I include because the title's in my name -- and it was featured in the Fool's "Hot Topics" a while back (http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=19821454) -- a 1999 Honda Civic sI. |
