mcain:

About 30 seconds after I was officially laid off, I filed retirement papers and rolled the lump-sum from the defined-benefit plan, the entire defined-contribution plan, and my 401(k) into an IRA

Wise man.

Over and over again, I have said "Watch out for your OWN retirement -- however you can do it! No company really cares as much as YOU do about YOU!"

And, by the way, as much as you can, watch over your own investments, too, because no "advisor" cares as much about your money as you do, either!
